Victor Peraino's Kingdom Come - No man's land - 1975 (Progressive Rock {US})

Victor Peraino era o tecladista americano da
Arthur Brown's Kingdom Comeuma banda frequentemente

"We're nextcom uma nova versão do grande sucesso
"Lady of the morning" tem bom uso em todas as frentes,
a brilhante abertura "San sets sail", o forte "Demon of love",
"Garden of death", um pouco no estilo Hawkwind
e "Empires of steel", a faixa mais longa do álbum e
uma verdadeira obra-prima de prog.
Um absoluto "mellotron monster",
altamente recomendado para todos
os fãs de rock progressivo.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Victor Peraino was the American keyboard player for
Arthur Brown's Kingdom Comea band often overlooked in
the pantheon of UK progressives. Following the group's final
album "Journey", Peraino returned to the States, and
somehow retained the rights to the group name.

Details are sketchy, but according to legend
only 100 copies of " No man's land" were pressed
making this a major rarity selling for four figures more often
than not. The re-release also includes the EP "We're next"
with a new version of the hit "Fire", which was
recorded and released in 1981 and is almost as rare as.
The vinyl format is a limited 500 copies.
Peraino's Mellotron use is, again, quite magnificent,
with lashings of strings, choir, cellos and brass all over
the album. There are too many individual highlights to name,
but some of them deserves a special mention: "Lady of
the morning" has especially good use on all fronts,
the brilliant opening "San sets sail",
the strong "Demon of love", with a Deep Purple guitar
riff style"Garden of death", a little in Hawkwind style
and "Empires of steel", the longest track of the album and
a true prog masterpiece.  An absolute "mellotron monster",
so highly recommended to all the progressive rock fans.
