STORY

During its existence, the group was composed by Jacques Mercier (vocals, guitar - ex-Jelly RollNabosRockers), Jacky Chalard (bass - ex-Mayfair Group and composer of the concept album "Je suis vivant, mais j'ai peur" under the text of Gilbert Deflez), Philippe Lhommet (keyboards - ex-Rotomagus) and Geza Fenzl (drums - ex-Nabos, Rockers). Formed in 1969, Dynastie Crisis accompanied Freddie Meyer for the first time under the name The Soul Company, from 1968 to 1969. It is the former Les Pingouins singer, Thierry Vincent, and journalist Pierre Lescure, who will produce in 1970 the first album by group, self-titled, sung in French and English.

In 1972, the group released a second album, "Faust 72", which did not achieve the expected commercial success. The label, EMI, asked them to cover the song "Jezahel" (by the Italian band Delirium), popularized at the time by Nicoletta. This acquisition was a real success, selling 23,000 copies. In the same year, the group participated in the tour "Polnarevolution", by Michel Polnareff, and also presented its first parts in Olympia between 6 and 22 October 1972. This tour was published as a live album, but on the cover there are no credits assigned to the group.

In 1973, the group returned to Polnareff for their "Polnarêve" tour in Olympia, then abroad on Réunion Island and Mauritius. Meanwhile, the group records a new album, in Boulogne-Billancourt, but fails to reproduce the sound live. Polnareff, leaving the territory to escape the taxpayer, Dynastie Crisis suddenly finds himself without activity. The group split up in 1974, after the last LP 45rpm, entitled "J'ai brisé la chaîne", under the simple name of Dynastie, with Celmar Engel (ex-Omega Plus) on drums. Jacques Mercier (the only one with a shaved head), Philippe Lhommet and Jacky Chalard continued their solo careers.

In 2004, the song "Faust72" was part of the soundtrack of the movie "Ocean's twelve" which was the continuation of "Ocean's eleven".
