Elderberry Jak - Long overdue - 1970 (Hard Psych Folk Rock {US})

Joe Serisano, ex-membros da J.B. and the Bonnevilles.

O álbum apresenta grandes baladas ("Inspired", "My lady"), canções românticas memoráveis
("Going back home", "Forrest on the mountain") e influência hard ("Vance's blues", "Restless feeling")
Hall da Fama do West Virginia Rock and Pop Music.

The band was formed in 1969 by bassist Dave Coombs and vocalist
Joe Serisano, former members of J.B. and the Bonnevilles.
At first, they worked as a duet and, after the arrival
of Hartman and Nicholas, adopted the name Elderberry Jak.
They quickly became popular in their town, in West Virginia,
and traveled the state all year round, as well as in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
There they were noticed by Kenny Rogers' brother, Leland Rogers,
who produced their only album "Long Overdue", released in 1970.

The album features big ballads ("Inspired", "My lady"), memorable romantic songs
("Going back home", "Forrest on the mountain") and hard influence ("Vance's blues", "Restless feeling")
which made the album have tremendous popularity, but only on a regional scale.
For nearly a year, "Long overdue" ranked among the top ten in
West Virginia, and did not really hit the American market.
The band split up early in 1971, and in 1988 was included
into the West Virginia Rock and Pop Music's Hall of Fame.
