Ele já tocou com muitos artistas australianos notáveis, incluindo Billy T, Mark Gillespie, Pseudo Echo, The Black Sorrows, Vanette Fields, Ian Moss & The John Farnham Band e The Revelators.
Melissa was a band formed in Sydney, in 1969, under the name of Molten Hue. The original line up was Robert Gunn (flute, vocal), Rick Barrett (guitar) Ken Frazier (bass) and Warren "Wal" Sparkes (drums), but Irish bassist Joe Creighton (who was previously a member of British band The A-Side) replaced Frazier not long after the band was formed. Melissa started playing psychedelia and acid-rock, and they were one of the first Australian bands to play "American West Coast" rock, such as Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe and The Fish or The Steve Miller Band.
The group's only album, "Midnight trampoline", was recorded for a period of nine months in 1971 and was released in October on Banner's independent label. Unfortunately, the album sank without a trace at the release, but over the years earned it the reputation of one of the best Australian rock albums of the period and became the most sought after collector item. Melissa had a strong participation in the Sydney suburban dance circuit and they performed with great artists such as Tully & Mecca in underground events and shows at venues such as Paddington Town Hall and the Arts Factory in Darlinghurst.

One of the highlights of the group's brief career was a Sidney tour with Elton John in October 1971. At this point, however, the internal tensions that emerged during the LP recording were about to split the band, with Creighton and Gunn being replaced by Chris Keystone and Ken Hanley, as well as a new keyboardist, Glen Farley. Melissa continued acting until 1972, but ended later that year. Fortunately, Melissa's recordings were among the OzRock relics of the early '70s, selected to be reissued by Vicious Sloth Collectibles.
