Night Sun - Mournin' - 1972 (Krautrock/Heavy Progressive Rock {Alemanha})

Night Sun foi uma banda de rock alemã composta por Bruno Schaab (vocal e baixo), Walter Kirchgessner (guitarra), Knut Rossler (órgão e saxofone) e Ulrich Staudt (bateria). Seu primeiro e único álbum, "Mournin'", foi lançado em 1972 no selo Zebra da Polydor. As composições de Kirchgessner e o modo de tocar guitarra lembram Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) e os vocais de Schaab lembram os gritos de Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin). Night Sun was a German rock band consisting of Bruno Schaab (vocals and bass), Walter Kirchgessner (guitar), Knut Rossler (organ and saxophone) and Ulrich Staudt (drums). Kirchgessner's compositions and guitar playing resemble Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) and Schaab's vocals resemble the cries of Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin). The group played a Deep Purple/Black Sabbath/Led Zeppelin style rock, with a heavy and progressive instrumentation feature of guitar, organ, bass and drums. The album was produced by Konrad Plank (whose production credits include the initial Kraftwerk production and Ash Ra Tempel) at the Windrose studio in Hamburg.

With the sudden changes in rhythmic structures, organ-style guitar riffs and some studio effects, the Night Sun has never been too close to the common boogie and rock'n'roll trap.
