A Euphonious Wail is the first and only album from the American psychedelic progressive rock band A Euphonious Wail. A Euphonious Wail was deeply inspired by the sounds of the hippie generation, especially the San Francisco region, the Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Airplane and other acid-rockers of the time.

Formed in Santa Rosa, California, information about the band is scarce, to say non-existent. What is known is that in 1973 they signed with Kapp Records and started working on their album. The band was a quintet formed by the vocalista Suzanne Rey and Steve Tracy (who is also the guitarist), by keyboardist Bart Libby, drummer Doug Hoffmann and bassist Gary Violetti. Supposedly Lower Levinger, of the famous 60's band The Youngblood, participated in the recording sessions, produced by Brian Ingoldsby. And as soon as this debut was released, the band quickly collapsed and all its members disappeared in complete obscurity. About the cover: Michael Hawes was the artist behind the art.
