A banda foi organizada por Graham Field logo após sair da Rare Bird, convidando o guitarrista de sessão Alan Barry e o baterista da King Crimson, Andy McCulloch.
Após o lançamento do álbum de estréia, a banda mudou com a saída de Alan Barry e a chegada de Frank Farrell do grupo Supertramp. Esta formação gravou o segundo álbum, em 1972: a obra-prima perdida e achada do rock progressivo melódico, pensativo e atraente.
