Brincos - Mvndo, demonio, carne - 1970 (Psychedelic Proto-Progressive Rock {Espanha})

O grupo foi fundado em 1964.

Seus membros eram Fernando Arbex

(1941-2003), Manuel González, Juan Pardo

e Antonio Morales. Eles eram conhecidos

como "os Beatles Espanhóis". Inicialmente,

foi pensado nomear o grupo para "The

Black Sheeps". Todos os singles deste

listas espanholas. Juan Pardo e Antonio

Morales se separaram em 1967 para

formar a dupla Juan & Junior.

A nova Brincos foi reagrupada sob a

Ricky Morales e Vicente Jesus Martinez.

Em 1969, Vicente Martinez também deixou

a banda e foi substituído por Miguel Morales,

irmão de Junior e Ricky, e pelo colombiano Oscar

Lasprilla nos teclados. A pedido de Arbex,

eles decantaram em um rock mais psicodélico,

Então eles gravaram o álbum conceitual “Mvndo,

demonio, carne” (1970), também publicado em

inglês como “World, devil, body”. Sua discreta

recepção decidiu que eles se separassem

do grupo. Arbex fundou

Alacrán e depois Barrabás.

Existem três versões deste álbum e todas

são ótimas. O lançamento da BMG é o LP

espanhol com um monte de faixas bônus,

algumas das quais estão nos outros dois

lançamentos. A versão em inglês de "World,

devil, body" tem uma capa diferente e troca

"Butterfly", "Kama-Sutra", "Jenny, miss genius",

"Carmen", "Hermano Ismael" e "Vive la realidad"

por 4 faixas diferentes: "Promises & dreams",

"If I were you", "Misery and pain" e "Body money

love/Too, cheap, cheap". Todas as quatro

faixas são excelentes, particularmente o power

pop beatlesco de "Body money love" e o raga

rock, "If I were you". Este álbum é certamente

obrigatório para os fãs de psicodelia

e pop progressivo.

The group was founded in 1964.

Its members were Fernando Arbex (1941-2003),

Manuel Gonzalez, Juan Pardo and Antonio Morales.

They were known as "the Spanish Beatles''.

It was initially thought to name the group to

“The Black Sheeps”. All singles of this first

years were number one in the Spanish lists.

Juan Pardo and Antonio Morales split

in 1967 to form the duo Juan & Junior.

New Brincos were reassembled under the leadership of Arbex, with new members Ricky

Morales and Vicente Jesus Martinez. In 1969

Vicente Martinez also left the band and was

replaced by Miguel Morales, brother of Junior

and Ricky, and Colombian Oscar Lasprilla

on keyboards. At the request of Arbex, they

decanted into a more psychedelic rock, which

in those years was ousting of youth preferences

to beat. So they recorded the concept album

“Mvndo, demonio, carne” (1970), also published

in English as “World, devil, body”. Its discreet

reception decided them to disband the group.

Arbex founded Alacrán and later on Barrabás.

There are three versions of this

album and all are terrific.

The BMG release is the Spanish

LP with a bunch of bonus tracks, some of which

are on the other two releases. The English

version of "World, devil, body" has a different

cover and trades "Butterfly", "Kama-Sutra", 

"Jenny, miss genius", "Carmen", "Hermano Ismael"

e "Vive la realidad" for 4 different tracks: "Promises

& dreams", "If I were you", "Misery and pain" and

"Body money love/Too, cheap, cheap". All four

tracks are excellent, particularly the beatlesque

power pop of "Body money love" and the raga

rock, "If I were you". This album is certainly

mandatory for fans of psychedelia

and progressive pop.
