The Quincy Conserve was a band from New Zealand that started in 1967. It was one of the biggest bands on North Island. Among the various formations, the association included Bruno Lawrence. For a while, trombonist Rodger Fox was a member. For a period of time It was the house band of HMV Studios in Wellington.
The band started in late 1967 and was formed by Malcolm Hayman. In 1968, it was supporting Allison Durbin on some of his recordings.
In 1970, Kevin Furey, who was previously on the Top band shelf, joined the group. At one point, the lineup consisted of Furey, Malcolm Hayman, Bruno Lawrence, Johnny McCormick, Dennis Mason, Dave Orams, and Rufus Rehu. Also in 1970, Bruno Lawrence's composition "Ride the rain" came in the final of the Loxene Golden Disc Awards.
