Nascido em 28 de outubro de 1942, em Nova Jersey, Michael Gately lançou
dois ótimos álbuns - ambos em 1972 - pelo selo Janus Records, EUA,
com seu próprio material protegido por direitos autorais.
Após o lançamento de ambos os álbuns, o artista
imediatamente afundou no esquecimento.
Antes de lançar seu primeiro long play, o cantor e compositor havia lançado
o single "Shine your light on me/Darlin'" pela Columbia, em 1969.
Em 1972, pela Janus Records, o single "Colour all the world/Hook another horse",
seguido do single "You just run away/No dry change" (1974, One Way Records).
O primeiro álbum contou com a produção de seu amigo Al Kooper, além da

Até sua morte, em 12 de abril de 1982, Michael Gately

Born October 28, 1942 in New Jersey, Michael Gately released

Michael Gately participated as a songwriter and vocalist on Al Kooper,

Until his death on April 12, 1982, Michael Gately
worked as a night porter in a recording studio.
Gately died of heart problems at age 39.
