Nemo foi uma banda francesa formada em 1972, por François Bréant
(colaborou com a membros da Magma, e ex-Cruciferius, Ergo Sum)
nos teclados e vocal, Marc Perru (ex-Cruciferius, Ergo Sum) nas guitarras e vocais,
Pascal Arroyo no baixo e piano, Clement Bailly na bateria, Emmanuel Lacordaire na percussão
e guitarra, Ronnie James no trompete, Albert Marcoeur nos saxofones e clarinetes, Claude Samard
no dobro, Arthur Young e José Young nos trompetes e José Bartel nas tumbas e gongos.
O nome da banda veio da palavra "Omen", lida invertida.
A banda lançou dois álbuns, "Nemo" (1973) e "Doin' nuthin''' (1974).
Todos os dois álbums foram lançados originalmente pelo selo Agave.
Todos os membros tinham uma boa formação no campo do jazz rock, então,
razoavelmente, o som da Nemo foi destacado por uma abordagem
groovy e jazzística, com uma atitude bastante rockin'.
Mas desta vez eles queriam apresentar uma abordagem mais inventiva e inovadora,
então, sua estréia também contém doses pesadas de funk em algumas faixas.
A banda se separarou em 1975.

Nemo was a French band formed in 1972 by François Bréant
(collaborated with members of Magma, and former Cruciferius, Ergo Sum)
on keyboards and vocals, Marc Perru (former Cruciferius, Ergo Sum) on guitars and vocals,
Pascal Arroyo on bass and piano, Clement Bailly on drums, Emmanuel Lacordaire on percussion
and guitar, Ronnie James on trumpet, Albert Marcoeur on saxophones and clarinets, Claude Samard
on dobro, Arthur Young and José Young on trumpets and José Bartel on tombs and gongs.
The band's name came from the word "Omen", read upside down.
The band released two albums, "Nemo" (1973) and "Doin' nuthin''' (1974).
Both albums were originally released by the Agave label.
All members had a good background in the jazz rock field, so,
reasonably, Nemo's sound was highlighted by a groovy
and jazzy approach, with a very rockin' attitude.
But this time they wanted to present a more inventive and innovative approach,
so their debut also contains heavy doses of funk on some tracks.
The band broke up in 1975.
