Companion - Reap the lost dreamers - 1974 (Progressive Folk Rock {US})

Após a separação do grupo Leviathan, em 1974, alguns de seus membros formaram a Companion, que gravou o único trabalho "Reap the lost dreamers" no mesmo ano. A música é uma mistura de rock progressivo, folk e pop rock (principalmente vocais). Três membros da banda tocam teclado. Muitos vocais, guitarras e sintetizadores e um som muito melódico. Um registro agradável em todos os aspectos.

Destaco a magistral introdução "Blackbird" que, embora não seja autoral (todos aqui sabem que é da The Beatles...), impressiona pelo excelente trabalho que os músicos fizeram para deixar a melodia ainda mais interessante que a original. Outra faixa que destaco é "Prelude to the lost dreamer/Wine for dreamer/Dreamer's finale". Mas, pode ter certeza que há muito mais para descobrir neste excelente álbum.

After the separation of the Leviathan group in 1974, some of its members formed Companion, which recorded the only work "Reap the lost dreamers" in the same year. The music is a mixture of progressive rock, folk and pop rock (mainly vocals). Three band members play the keyboard. Many vocals, guitars and synthesizers and a very melodic sound. A pleasant record in all aspects.

I highlight the masterful introduction "Blackbird" which, although not authorial (everyone here knows that it is from The Beatles...), impresses with the excellent work that the musicians did to make the melody even more interesting than the original. Another track that I highlight is "Prelude to the lost dreamer/Wine for dreamer/Dreamer's finale".
