Alain Buro - Fume, c'est du Belge - 1975 + Single [1974] (Progressive Rock {Bélgica})

O músico Alain Bureau, nascido em 06 de agosto de 1951 na cidade de Lessines, Bélgica, começou sua carreira na música como integrante da banda de hard rock psicodélico Light Fire. Light Fire era influenciada por bandas como Led Zeppelin e outras semelhantes do mesmo período. Além de Alain Bureau como guitarrista, Light Fire contou com o tecladista Guido Vanden Hauwe, que já havia ganhado experiência com a Clee's Five.

Além deles, Light Fire era integrada pelo baterista Chris De Brakeleer, o vocalista Luc Cosyns e o baixista Marcel. O guitarrista Clee Van Herzeele também integrou o grupo. Mais tarde, ele foi o arranjador musical permanente de Walter De Buck. Clee Van Herzeele faleceu em 2021.

Light Fire não chegou a gravar um LP. A banda lançou apenas dois singles - "My baby is sweet/Feel free" e "Love is outside/Heavy chain" -, pelo selo Pink Elephant, em 1970.

Em 1973, Alain Bureau experimenta uma carreira solo e lança o single "Prends ma main/Les yeux fermés". O single não fez muito sucesso, e logo Alain Bureau fica sob os cuidados de produtor Lou Deprijck. Alain Bureau muda seu nome de Bureau para Buro, numa tentativa de que seu nome soasse melhor.

Lou Deprijck grava com ele os singles "Ma cunégonde/La vie avec toi" e "Qui pour non/La plus belle du quartier". Esses dois singles foram lançados em 1974, e novamente não fizeram muito sucesso. Ainda no mesmo ano, Alain Buro vai para o Studio Madeleine para gravar o seu primeiro long play, "Fume, c'est du Belge", com Lou Deprijck novamente como produtor. Para o álbum, Buro foi auxiliado por Robert Beleyn na guitarra, Gerry D'Ayers na percussão e bateria e Eric de Wolf no vocal e baixo. Eles também tocaram em seus singles anteriores.

"Fume, c'est du Belge" abre com "Trilogique", uma trilogia de três músicas separadas: "La Chine", "Bah… 't es niks, santei" e "La race des soiffards". "La Chine" mistura rock progressivo com algumas influências orientais. "Bah… 't es niks, santei" mistura o rock progressivo com o hard rock. Guitarras, teclados e flautas viajantes nos levam ao final da trilogia, com a música "L'etang mort" fechando o lado A de uma forma muito sólida.

Enquanto isto, no lado B, Alain Buro e sua equipe fazem algo completamente diferente. O que eles fazem aqui é principalmente uma reminiscência do rock progressivo francês de bandas como Ange e Mona Lisa.

"Fume, c'est du Belge" foi lançado em 1975. A foto da capa foi tirada no icônico À café la Mort Subite, em Bruxelas. Depois, Alain Buro apareceria com a banda punk Hubble Bubble e com Kuruki, um projeto solo do músico Gerry D'Haeyer, que lançou alguns singles entre os anos 1981 e 1984 e o LP "TV escape" em 1984. 

Alain Buro faleceu em 13 de julho de 2014.

The musician Alain Bureau, born on August 6, 1951 in the city of Lessines, Belgium, began his career in music as a member of the psychedelic hard rock band Light Fire. In addition to Alain Bureau as guitarist, Light Fire featured keyboardist Guido Vanden Hauwe, who had already gained experience with Clee's Five.

In 1973, Alain Bureau tries out a solo career and releases the single "Prends ma main/Les yeux fermés". The single was not very successful, and soon Alain Bureau is under the care of producer Lou Deprijck. Alain Bureau changes his name from Bureau to Buro, in an attempt to make his name sound better.

Lou Deprijck recorded the singles "Ma cunégonde/La vie avec toi" and "Qui pour non/La plus belle du quartier" with him. These two singles were released in 1974, and again were not very successful. In the same year, Alain Buro went to Studio Madeleine to record his first long play, "Fume, c'est du Belge", with Lou Deprijck again as producer. For the album, Buro was assisted by Robert Beleyn on guitar, Gerry D'Ayers on percussion and drums, and Eric de Wolf on vocal and bass guitar. They also played on their previous singles.

"Fume, c'est du Belge" opens with "Trilogique", a trilogy of three separate songs: "La Chine", "Bah… 't es niks, santei", and "La race des soiffards". "La Chine" mixes progressive rock with some oriental influences. "Bah… 't es niks, santei" mixes progressive rock with hard rock. Guitars, keyboards and dreaming flutes lead us to the end of the trilogy, with the song "L'etang mort", closing the A-side in a very solid way.

Meanwhile, on the B-side, Alain Buro and his team do something completely different. What they do here is mostly reminiscent of the French progressive rock of bands like Ange and Mona Lisa.

"Fume, c'est du Belge" was released in 1975. The cover photo was taken at the iconic À café la Mort Subite in Brussels. Afterwards, Alain Buro would appear with the punk band Hubble Bubble and with Kuruki, a solo project by musician Gerry D'Haeyer, who released a few singles between 1981 and 1984 and the LP "TV escape" in 1984.

Alain Buro died on July 13, 2014.
