Borne - Exprime la naranja - 1979 (Progressive Jazz Fusion Rock {Espanha})

Borne foi um grupo catalão, especificamente de Barcelona ​​que, em 1979, estreou com um álbum totalmente instrumental intitulado "Exprime la naranja", onde ele ofereceu grandes doses de rock Laietano ao estilo Iceberg, mas imbuído de tons de jazz rock andaluz ao estilo Guadalquivir ou Dolores.

O álbum é aberto com um tema na veia do jazz rock andaluz praticado por Guadalquivir, como é a enérgica e alegre "Azahara", que na minha opinião é a melhor música do álbum, com uma guitarra magnífica casando com o piano, seguindo este mesmo "toque" em "Abuelo romance". Mais adiante chegam temas muito na onda do rock Laietano ao estilo Iceberg, enfatizando de maneira especial "La musica de las fonts" que combina perfeitamente em suas contínuas mudanças de ritmo, o suave e o melódico com o energético. "La boda gitana" recupera aquela energia e alegria do tema de abertura mas com uma intervenção grandiosa do baixo de José Miguel Oca.

Na música "Exprime la naranja", Borne funde jazz com o rock Laietano sinfônico anglo-saxão aoestilo Imán com toques latinos a la Santana. Em "La macarena" depois da entrada Saeta, que dá lugar ao galopante tema Laietano do álbum, também digno de nota é a atmosférica e pacífica "No veo nada (Y no quiero ver mas)" com um toque muito classic jazz especial.

Então nós temos temas mais experimentais como "Very funk", que misturou o funk com Laietano, sugerindo o que iria se desenvolver em seu segundo álbum "Unidades didacticas" ou a exibição de Victor Molero no "flamenco guitar" a la Paco de Lucia em "Rumbacustica". Sem dúvida uma grande surpresa deste grupo de Barcelona que combinou perfeitamente o rock andaluz com o rock Laietano.

The album opens with a theme in the vein of Andalusian jazz rock practiced by Guadalquivir, as is the energetic and lively "Azahara", which in my opinion is the best song of the album, with a magnificent guitar marrying the piano, following this same "touch" in "Abuelo romance".

Further on, there are themes that are very much in the wave of Laietano rock in the style of Iceberg, emphasizing in a special way "La musica de las fonts" that perfectly combines in its continuous changes of rhythm, the mellow and the melodic with the energetic. "La boda gitana" recovers that energy and joy of the theme of opening but with a great intervention of the bass of José Miguel Oca.

In the song "Exprime la naranja", Borne merges jazz with the Laietano symphonic Anglo-Saxon rock to the Imam with latin touches to Santana. In "La macarena" after the entry Saeta, which gives way to the rampant Laietano theme of the album, also noteworthy is the atmospheric and peaceful "No veo nada (Y no quiero ver mas)" with a very classic jazz special touch.
