The Wilkinson Tri-Cycle's only album is similar to post-psychedelic heavy rock recordings of East Coast groups such as Sir Lord Baltimore and Yesterday's Children, insofar as combine heavy blues rock with psychedelic flourishes, but the effect is barely noticeable. The album is still appreciated by European collectors, who supposedly command a high price for LP. Highlights include the cover of Sleepy John Estes's "Leaving trunk", popular at the time by Taj Mahal, the ballad "Poursha Poe" and the elegant "Yellow Wall".

In fact, the album was released on a little-known R&B subsidiary of CBS, Date Records. None of the band members had great success after the group ended. Perhaps the most interesting item is that this was one of the many albums produced by writers/producers Warren Schatz and Stephen Schlaks at Associated Recording Studios in New York.
