Rayne, proveniente de Nova Orleans, foi criada pelos irmãos Saucier. Em 1979, a banda lançou o seu único álbum, auto-intitulado, em uma edição limitada a 300 cópias. Em 1994, outras 500 cópias deste álbum foram reeditados.

Esta é uma gravação feita, de fato, sem sobreposições e pós-produção, mas soa melhor do que muitos outros lançamentos da época.

O álbum contém apenas material original: é uma mistura de hard rock ("No reason to cry" e "Slip away") e faixas orientadas para o folk ("Never going, always gone") e uma reminiscência de Dylan ("Good dog"). O álbum foi financiado pelos próprios membros da banda. Curiosamente, eles destruíram os materiais do segundo álbum por causa das dificuldades da pós-produção... .

Rayne, from New Orleans, was raised by the Saucier brothers. In 1979, the band released their only self-titled album in a limited edition of 300 copies. In 1994, another 500 copies of this album were reissued.

This is a recording made, in fact, without overlap and post production, but sounds better than many other releases of the time.

The album contains only original material: it's a mix of hard rock ("No reason to cry" and "Slip away") and folk-oriented tracks ("Never going, always gone") and a reminiscent of Dylan ("Good dog"). The album was funded by the band members themselves. Interestingly, they destroyed the materials from the second album because of the difficulties of post production... .
