Finalmente este álbum foi reeditado! 2019 foi um ano de reedições interessantes, e este álbum talvez tenha sido o mais aguardado. Coma foi uma banda de progressive jazz fusion rock formada em 1971 em Frederikshavn, Dinamarca. A banda foi formada pelos ex-membros da banda Ramasjang Uffe Markussen, Flemming Friberg e Jakob Mygind. A formação estável da banda foi criada em 1973 com a adição de Klaus Thrane, Viggo Bertelsen e Leif Christensen. E, com esta formação, a banda gravou seu LP de estréia "Financial tycoon", em 1977. O álbum foi gravado no Plexus Studios, em Ringsted, com três músicos convidados no vibrafone, trompete e violino. O álbum foi lançado, ainda no mesmo ano, por Genlyd Grammofon.

O som complicado desta banda de jazz avant-garde é difícil de descrever, e é mais apreciado por aqueles que curtem King Crimson, John Coltrane, Miles Davis e Frank Zappa. Após seu LP de estréia, eles lançaram o "Amoc", em 1980, e não se limitaram à música: os membros estiveram ativos em atividades políticas locais, em Frederikshavn, e permaneceram ativos nos anos 80, lançando alguns singles e, em 1986, o terceiro e último álbum "Love and madness: It's all the same". Coma pode ser recomendada para pessoas que gostam de seus modelos já mencionados (especialmente Zappa, sua inspiração instrumental e lírica) e músicas com algumas semelhanças com National Health, Gong e Supersister.

Finally this album has been reissued! 2019 was a year of interesting reissues, and this album may have been the most awaited. Coma was a progressive jazz fusion rock band formed in 1971 in Frederikshavn, Denmark. The band was formed by former Ramasjang band members Uffe Markussen, Flemming Friberg and Jakob Mygind. The band's stable lineup was created in 1973 with the addition of Klaus Thrane, Viggo Bertelsen and Leif Christensen. And with this formation the band recorded its debut LP "Financial tycoon" in 1977. The album was recorded at Plexus Studios in Ringsted, featuring three guest musicians on vibraphone, trumpet and violin. The album was released the same year by Genlyd Grammofon.

The complicated sound of this avant-garde jazz band is hard to describe, and is most appreciated by those who enjoy King Crimson, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and Frank Zappa. After its debut LP, the band released "Amoc" in 1980, not limited to music: the members were active in local political activities in Frederikshavn, and remained active in the 1980s, releasing a few singles, and in 1986 the third and last album "Love and madness: It's all the same". Coma can be recommended for people who like its aforementioned models (especially Zappa, its instrumental and lyrical inspiration) and songs with some similarities to National Health, Gong and Supersister.
