Abel foi uma banda de brass rock de San Francisco que trazia consigo algumas influências latinas. Anteriormente, a banda era conhecida como The Prophets. Mais tarde, Tom Catalano criou seu próprio selo, TomCat, e trabalhou com Nancy Sevins, vocalista da Sweetwater.

Todas as músicas do álbum foram escritas pelo vocalista Abel Sanchez e soam um pouco iguais, sem melodias cativantes que fariam você colocar vinil para tocar repetidamente. O álbum nunca foi lançado em CD.

Arrisco dizer que as faixas que mais se destacam são as músicas "Melody maker", "Questions and answers" e "Candy". Talvez com um compositor diferente na banda, eles pudessem criar algo que destacasse mais a riqueza da cena musical do início dos anos 70.

Abel was a brass rock band from San Francisco that brought with it some Latin influences. Previously, the band was known as The Prophets. Later, Tom Catalano created his own label, TomCat, and worked with Nancy Sevins, singer of Sweetwater.
All of the songs on the album were written by vocalist Abel Sanchez and sound a bit the same, without catchy melodies that would make you put vinyl to play over and over. The album was never released on CD.

I venture to say that the tracks that stands out the most are the songs "Melody maker", "Questions and answers" and "Candy". Perhaps with a different composer in the band, they could create something that more highlighted the richness of the music scene of the early 70s.
