Saluki (Progressive Jazz Funk Rock [Noruega])

Saluki foi fundada em 1976, em Oslo, como uma banda de jazz progressivo, e composta originalmente pelos músicos Freddy Dahl (vocal, guitarra) Peter Berg Nilsen (hoje Peter Alois Symington - vocal, percussão, saxofone), Ginn Jahr (baixo) Kjell Rønningen (teclados, vozes) e Bjørn Jenssen (bateria).
A banda realizou concertos em festivais e clubes e excursionou extensivamente na Noruega, Dinamarca e Holanda durante o período 1976-1977.
Na época uma banda era descrita como "melodiosa, cativante, com ritmos animados, vocais harmoniosos e com instrumentistas muito talentosos".
O álbum foi lançado em 30 de março de 1977.
A banda fez seu show de 40 anos no Oslo Concert Hall em 30 de março de 2017, onde eles foram saudados com aplausos - e grandes aplausos!.
Uma edição remasterizada em CD foi lançada neste dia e o LP foi re-lançado em vinil pelo selo Big Dipper, em Oslo, em sua gravadora Round2 no outono de 2017.
Este álbum também foi lançado digitalmente e em CD por Buttre Braak DA.
Seu aguardado segundo álbum, Amazing games, foi lançado em 2 de novembro de 2018.

Saluki was founded in 1976 in Oslo as a progressive jazz band, and originally composed by musicians Freddy Dahl (vocals, guitar) Peter Berg Nilsen (today Peter Alois Symington - vocal, percussion, saxophone), Ginn Jahr (bass) Kjell Rønningen (keyboards, voices) and Bjørn Jenssen (drums).

The band performed concerts at festivals and clubs and toured extensively in Norway, Denmark and Holland during the period 1976-1977.

At the time a band was described as "melodious, captivating, with lively rhythms, harmonious vocals and very talented instrumentalists."

The album was released on March 30, 1977.

The band made their 40 - year concert at the Oslo Concert Hall on March 30, 2017, where they were greeted with applause - and great applause!.

A remastered CD edition was released on this day and the LP was re-released on vinyl by the Big Dipper label in Oslo on its Round2 label in the fall of 2017.

This album was also digitally released and on CD by Buttre Braak DA.

Their long awaited second album, Amazing Games, was released on November 2, 2018.
