Probe - Direction - 1969 (Heavy Psychedelic Blues Rock {US})

Formada em Rockford, Illinois, esta banda lançou apenas um álbum,
extremamente raro, em sua própria gravadora.

Probe tocou em clubes e escolas locais em sua cidade e estado natal.

Os caras não tinham nenhuma ambição especial e,

realmente, não queriam conquistar o "Olimpo musical".

Eles tinham amor suficiente de amigos e parentes,

e eles lançaram o único álbum às suas próprias custas apenas para agradá-los.

Em qualquer caso, na imprensa daquele tempo praticamente não há menção deles.

Mas apesar de tudo isso, o álbum tem composições muito interessantes

que atraem a atenção.

Elas são, na maior parte, hard/heavy rock.

Embora algumas das músicas sejam tingidas de blues.

Entre eles estão um cover de "Living in the USA", da Steve Miller Band,
e o tradicional "Rock me".

A faixa mais psicodélica é "Carol".

A melhor coisa sobre o álbum é
a interação entre a guitarra principal e o órgão, que soa estranho.
Nada disso é tocado particularmente bem,

mas o espírito é legal, de uma maneira jovem e as músicas não são ruins.

Para quem curte bandas altamente obscuras, este álbum deverá agradar.

They had enough love from friends and relatives,

and they released the only album at their own expense just to please them.

In any case, in the press of that time there is practically no mention of them.

But despite all this, the album has very interesting compositions

that attract attention.

They are, for the most part, hard/heavy rock.

Although some of the songs are dyed blues.

Among them are a cover of "Living in the USA" by Steve Miller Band,
and the traditional "Rock me".

The most psychedelic track is "Carol".

The best thing about the album is
the interaction between the lead guitar and the organ, which sounds weird.
None of this is played particularly well,

but the spirit is cool in a young way and the songs are not bad.

For those who enjoy highly obscure bands, this album should please.

"Direction" is one of the rarest American albums released in the late 60's.
