Slogans - Photosynthesis - 1983 (Progressive Rock {Itália})

A banda Slogans se formou em Bassano del Grappa em 1981 em torno da liderança do guitarrista Roberto Gamo,

mas assume sua marca definitiva com a chegada no final do mesmo ano do tecladista Ivano Tolio.

É de fato a colaboração entre Gamo e Tolio que caracteriza ainda a história e o som do grupo.

No decorrer de 1982 e 1983, Slogans tocou em numerosos concertos em Veneza e viu a chegada de novos membros:

o baixista Palmiro Gnoato, o baterista Marco Carlesso, o segundo vocalista, Silvia Bizzotto,

que se juntou aos dois líderes e o segundo tecladista, Michele Bianchin, também um membro do grupo original.

Com essa formação a banda gravou o álbum "Photosynthesis",
que representa a marca do som dos primeiros anos do grupo.

O único álbum da Slogans foi re-editado em CD pela Mellow Records, que inclui

não apenas as faixas originais, mas também algumas faixas "live in studio".

A música está no coração da década de 1970 em termos de estilo e composição,

embora o som reflita o início dos anos 80 em que foi gravado.

A música é muito melódica e divertida de se ouvir,

mesmo que não seja totalmente original.

The band Slogans formed in Bassano del Grappa in 1981 around the leadership of guitarist Roberto Gamo,

but takes on its definitive imprint with the arrival at the end of the same year of keyboardist Ivano Tolio.

It is in fact the collaboration between Gamo and Tolio that characterizes still the story and the sound of the group.

In the course of 1982 and 1983, Slogans played in numerous concerts in Venice and saw the arrival of new members:

the bassist Palmiro Gnoato, drummer Marco Carlesso, the second vocalist, Silvia Bizzotto,

who joined the two leaders and the second keyboardist, Michele Bianchin, also a member of the original group.

With this lineup the band recorded their album "Photosynthesis",
which represents the seal of the sound of the first years of the group.

Slogans' only album has been re-pressed on CD by Mellow Records, which includes

not only the original tracks but some "live in studio" tracks as well.

The music is at heart mid-1970s RPI in terms of style and composition,

though the sound reflects the early 1980s in which it was recorded.

The music is very melodic and fun to listen to,

even if not entirely original.
